Out and About

Sandbagging the Dam

We have cared for our dam since the 1920s. The dam has rewarded us with a healthy lake where we can swim, fish, boat, and enjoy the beauty of the four seasons. Annual maintenance is required. This summer, a large amount of rain required sandbagging to save the dam.

President John Danahy and BOD member George Henrichson are working hard at the 2022 Winchester Pickle Festival. Thanks to everyone who came by the booth, bought clothing, asked questions, and caught up with the news. This was the FLIA’s second year in recent times supporting the September event here in Winchester. Plans are already underway for 2023. Looking forward to seeing everyone once again.
