We have launched a "$75 Club" — a group of dedicated community members, each committing to donate $75 a month for 10 months to help pay off the newly built dam at Forest Lake.
Our goal is to get 100 members to join the club.
To join, email Bunky Barstow at bunkybarstow@gmail.com.
Bunky will keep in touch monthly with updates on how the program is doing. Donations can be made through any of our usual payment methods — PayPal, Venmo, etc.
Forest Lake Dam Drive Gift or Pledge
Please make a gift or pledge to the FLIA to help raise money for the dam reconstruction. Pledges are as valuable to us today as are checks. We do not need all the money on day one. However, we do need firm commitments in cash or pledges to sign a contract.
The Forest Lake Improvement Association has been the caretaker of the dam that makes up Forest Lake since 1928. William Davis, Winfred Drugg, and Ellen Delphia had a vision, and they acted on that vision 93 years ago and turned Humphrey’s Pond into Forest Lake. That vision is still a valuable asset to the town of Winchester. But the dam has aged after all these years and requires a significant renovation. We owe it to ourselves, the community, and the memory of our predecessors to undertake that renovation and ensure that future generations can benefit from the lake as we here today have. Please, will you consider a gift in support of the program?
